The MOST Delicious Chocolates -Review & Giveaway!
Not a day goes by that I don’t eat chocolate! Sometimes it’s a few M&M’s, other days it’s a mini Twix (or two) and often I’ll just dive into the bags of white and dark chocolate morsels that I use to make the kids special pancakes on the weekends. I’m always on the hunt for chocolate…so when I opened the mailbox, a couple of weeks ago, and found this…
…I was in chocolate heaven! This was not your run-of-the-mill chocolate…this was the good stuff! Ooooh – which to try first??? They all looked so yummy. Of course the kids and Phil wanted to sample, too. While I was tempted to lock myself in the bathroom and slowly and quietly savor nibbles of each and every one…I did what moms do…I shared! Phil, Daniella, Dylan and I dug in and tried to decide which we liked best. Was it the velvety dark chocolate ganache infused with Tahitian Vanilla? The creamy milk chocolate ganache infused with champagne in a thin, dark chocolate shell? Seriously, that should be illegal! Or maybe the brownie truffle -a dark chocolate ganache atop a chocolatey brownie…dipped in milk chocolate? I mean, REALLY! All that chocolatey goodness in one box had my head spinning. I decided that I simply couldn’t pick just one favorite. I hid the box away so I could have a private tasting, a little later on. : >
Now you may be wondering how this beautiful box of
CocoaPod Chocolates ended up in my mailbox! Well, the story is as sweet as the chocolates themselves! A few summers ago, I met two wonderful women named Brigitte and Mary while vacationing, with Phil, on Cape Cod. We spent the day together, with mutual friends, and had a lovely time. Unfortunately, I haven’t been back to the Cape…and I lost touch with Brigitte and Mary over the last few years. Well, somehow, Brigitte came across my website…and read that I have been dealing with Lupus for the past year and 5 months. She reached out, through the website, and then sent me her beautiful, handcrafted chocolates! Thanks again, from the bottom of my heart, Brigitte! You truly brightened my entire week and brought a smile to my face!

I admired each, for awhile, before taking a bite…they are just THAT PRETTY! While I still can’t figure out which is my favorite…I’d be happy to keep trying. I’m sure I’ll get to the bottom of it eventually! ; )
